Dr Haruka joined Gladesville Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinarian in March 2024. Originally from Japan, she moved to Australia for university and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2019 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Haruka has a special interest in dentistry and soft tissue surgery, and she gets particularly excited when she encounters unusual or interesting dental or surgical cases. Her love for animals was the driving force behind her decision to become a veterinarian. Outside of work, Haruka enjoys bushwalking, knitting, gaming, and reading. She shares her home with a lively family of pets, three cats (a tabby and white, a ginger, and a black cat) and three Darwin carpet pythons, two of which are striking albinos. Languages Haruka speaks in addition to English: Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.
